Betway Bets of the Day: Bet on the Canucks’ power-play to wake up against the Wild

Vancouver’s power-play failed to click again, going 0-4 as the Canucks fell to the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Saturday night. Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck made 35 saves on 37 shots to get the best of Thacher Demko in what could loom large in the Vezina Trophy race.
Next up for Vancouver is a quick three-game road trip starting in Minnesota. Here are three bets I like for today’s game.
Player Prop
Kirill Kaprizov to register over 3.5 shots at -118. My $10 bet would return $18.50.
This was trending to be a “down year” for Wild star, but he’s found another gear of late as Minnesota looks to get back in the playoff picture. Kaprizov has also been active on the shot market of late, tallying 18 shots in his last three games, which is an average of six per game.
Take this bet at .8 units.
Pre-Built Bets
Vancouver to score a power-play goal at -105. My $12.50 bet would return $24.40.
Yes we started this article by talking about the Canucks’ power play woes, but when it’s affecting the odds this much, you must hammer it. Minnesota is 28th in the league on the PK and takes the fourth-most penalties in the league. Yes, Vancouver has struggled, but getting pick em’ odds in this matchup is a big time hammer.
Take this play at a full unit.
Player Prop
JT Miller to register over 2.5 shots at -105. My $10 bet would return $19.62.
Miller has been hitting the net at a high rate of late hitting his over 2.5 in four out of his last five games, I like this trend to continue against a Wild team that’s 21st in shots against league wide.
Take this play at .8 units.
Last Game Bets
Filip Hronek to register over 1.5 shots at -163. My $10 bet would return $16.15. – HIT
Vancouver to win money-line at -121. My $12.50 bet would return $22.91. – MISSED
We’ve absolutely sucked recently and that continues again, we staked $32.50 and returned $16.15. We are now up $42.65 on the season.
