The Canucks started 2024 with an absolute bang, scoring five goals in their first period of the new year to take a commanding 5-0 lead over the Ottawa Senators. With score effects, the team inevitably slowed down but still cruised to a 6-3 victory to remain the top team in the Western Conference.
Vancouver will now embark on a seven game road trip starting in St.Louis. Here are three bets I like for tonight’s game.

We’ve highlighted in a previous edition that Vancouver’s power-play has started to run through Pettersson’s one-timer again and a great example of that is his goal against the Senators with the man advantage. The Canucks’ star has hit his over 2.5 in five of his last seven games.

Buchnevich is a name that many Canucks fans have acclaimed as a pipe dream acquisition for the team and you can’t blame them for the inquiry. The Russian forward has produced at a point-per-game level since being acquired by the Blues in the summer of 2021.
The former Ranger has also been all over the shot meter of late, tallying over 2.5 shots in nine of his last ten games. This is another play I really like and will put a full unit on.

Brock Boeser to score anytime at +140. My $10 bet would return $24.
The NHL’s third leading goal scorer in Boeser has scored only one goal in his last four games, but this is a perfect spot for him to breakout. Boeser has loved playing the Blues of late, scoring four points in his last two matchups against the team.
Take this bet at .8 units for a nice payout.
