Vasily Podkolzin scored his first career goal, and it was a thing of beauty.
The Russian winger, who the Canucks drafted in 2019, started tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers on a line alongside Elias Pettersson and JT Miller. Although the lines were juggled throughout the night and Podkolzin found himself on the fourth line in a hurry, he wasted little time showing everyone that he’s capable of absolutely letting it fly.
It truly was a thing of beauty:

Understandably so, Podkolzin was absolutely elated after the puck went in.
And yes, Chris Faber was also very happy to see the guy he’s spent countless hours (and pretty unreasonable ones too!) watching score his first NHL goal.
