Ekman-Larsson, who signed with the Florida Panthers on July 1, is seeking a hefty sum of $6,838,800 for the four-level house, located a short walk from the beach and a quick drive from Rogers Arena.

Ekman-Larsson, who <a href="https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/ekman-larsson-house-sale-kitsilano-canucks">reportedly</a> purchased the house around 18 months ago, spent just two seasons in Vancouver after being acquired from the Arizona Coyotes in 2021.
The six-foot-two Swede managed just seven goals and 51 points in 133 games with the team before being bought out this offseason. He had four years remaining on his contract at a $8.25 million annual cap hit, of which the Canucks were responsible for $7.26 million.
Ekman-Larsson will receive $2.127 million from the Canucks each year until 2030–31. It wasn&#8217;t exactly the outcome he expected when he purchased the property.
“He loved Vancouver, he loved being here,” Francesco DeFrenza, Ekman-Larsson&#8217;s realtor, told Rob Williams of Daily Hive. “He was really shocked with what happened the way it did. He was expecting to play out his whole contract here. He was sad to leave.”
DeFrenza&#8217;s agency held a special &#8220;sneak peek&#8221; viewing of the house with food and a live DJ on August 18. The realtor told Williams that some &#8220;well-known people&#8221; attended the event.
Ekman-Larsson&#8217;s contract with the Panthers carries a $2.25 million cap hit. Factoring in his new deal and the buyout money he&#8217;s owed by the Canucks and Coyotes, Ekman-Larsson will be paid roughly $4.667 million in the 2023–24 season.
