The Vancouver Canucks have signed defencemen Jack Rathbone and Noah Juulsen, as well as forward Will Lockwood, to contract extensions, the club announced Friday morning.
Rathbone’s new contract is a one-way deal, while both Juulsen and Lockwood have been signed to two-way contracts. Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman
reported that Rathbone’s contract is a two-year deal with an $850,000 cap hit.
Rathbone, 23, appeared in 39 games with the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Canucks during the 2021–22 regular season, scoring 10 goals and 40 points. He also skated in nine NHL games with Vancouver, recording no points while averaging 13:50.
Juulsen, 25, also split the season between the AHL and the NHL. He scored 16 points (three goals, 13 assists) in 50 games with Abbotsford and logged two assists in eight outings with Vancouver.
Lockwood, 24, scored nine goals and 25 points in 46 games with Abbotsford in 2021–22. He also appeared in 13 scoreless games with Vancouver.
