So much for “week-to-week.”
J.T. Miller will be in the lineup for the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday as they take on the Minnesota Wild at Rogers Arena, the club confirmed in a post on Twitter.

Curiously, the announcement came just three days after the Canucks specifically listed Miller as week-to-week with an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old forward last dressed against the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 25, which, you’ll note, was less than a week ago.
There’s been plenty of buzz about Miller’s status over the last few days leading up to tomorrow’s trade deadline. The Athletic hockey insider Shayna Goldman tweeted Sunday that Miller had emerged as “a potential deadline move over the last day or so.”
While there’s no telling what teams might be willing to give up in exchange for Miller’s services — or if the Canucks ever discussed the prospect of a Miller trade at any depth with other teams — it appears things have cooled down with less than 24 hours remaining until the deadline.
Miller ranks third on the Canucks with 54 points (20 goals, 34 assists) in 59 games this season. He signed a seven-year contract extension last summer that will keep him in Vancouver through 2030 — barring any more moves, of course — at an $8 million annual cap hit. Miller’s full no-movement clause is set to kick in on July 1 of this year.
The trade deadline is set for 12:00 p.m. PT on Friday.
