Plays a north-south game and likes to take the puck straight to the net, where he cashes a lot of garbage goals on rebounds and tips. Relentless forechecker brings it every night in terms of compete level and physicality, and really asserts himself in the corners. Lacks top-six finesse but understands how to be a complementary player. Was team’s enforcer until quadrupling his point total this year. Can both agitate and score, and was a terrific pressure perofrmer in the playoffs. Projects as a power forward who will do the dirty work and can chip in 12-15 goals.
