The NHL Network released their annual top-20 rankings of centremen throughout the league on Wednesday afternoon. The network honoured two Vancouver Canucks centres as a part of this list, and relatively high at that. Canucks centremen Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller were ranked 10th and 11th, respectively.
Pettersson, 25, earned the 10th spot among NHL centremen.
The Swedish forward scored 34 goals and 55 assists for 89 points in 82 games with a plus-20 rating. Halfway through the season, Pettersson inked an eight-year, $92.8 million extension that kicks this season, paying him $11.6 million annually.
This isn’t the first time Pettersson surfaced on this list, as he debuted after his career year in the 2022-2023 season. The 6’2″ centre set career highs in goals (39), assists (63) and points (102) in only 80 games. Pettersson maintains his 10th overall ranking for the second straight season.
Miller, 31, is the 11th ranked centreman on this list.

The American forward finally eclipsed the century-point mark, after teasing with triple digits in the 2021-2022 season. Miller set career highs in goals (37), points (103), powerplay points (40) and plus-minus rating (plus-32) last season.
Miller is entering the second year of his seven-year extension in Vancouver, one that pays him $8 million annually. This is the first time Miller has made an appearance on this list.
The nine forwards ahead of Pettersson and Miller goes as follows: Connor McDavid (1), Nathan MacKinnon (2), Auston Matthews (3), Leon Draisaitl (4), Aleksander Barkov (5), Sidney Crosby (6), Brayden Point (7), Jack Eichel (8) and Jack Hughes (9).
