As the Vancouver Canucks prepare for their prospect showcase matchups against the Seattle Kraken on September 12th and 13th, the Canucks finally know who they’ll be up against.

On Saturday, the Kraken announced their rookie camp roster for the prospect showcase along with their roster for training camp to start the 2026-27 season. Their rookie camp roster is made up of 11 forwards, nine defencemen and two goalies.

The full rookie camp roster for Seattle is as follows:

Gillespie and Corovic are the only players not in the Kraken’s system, and are a part of the rookie camp roster by way of an invite. Fisker-Molgaard, Nyman and Kokko are the only players with NHL experience on the roster.

Highlighting the roster is center Jake O’Brien, who was the Kraken’s eighth-overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. O’Brien is coming off of his best year in the OHL with the Brantford Bulldogs, where he had 28 goals and 65 assists for 93 points in 53 regular season games, as well as six goals and 17 assists for 23 points in 15 playoff games. He also played four AHL playoff games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds after his OHL season concluded, where he went pointless.

Also highlighting the roster is center Oscar Fisker-Molgaard, who was the Kraken’s second-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. Fisker Molgaard spent the majority of last season in the AHL, where he had 10 goals and 24 assists for 34 points in 49 regular season games with the Firebirds, in addition to seven goals and four assists for 11 points in 12 playoff games. He got a taste of the NHL as well, getting two assists in 13 games with the Kraken.

The prospect showcase between the Canucks and Kraken will take place on September 12th at 4 p.m. PT and September 13th at 1 p.m. PT, both games taking place at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford.
