Nobody had a good game; I don&#8217;t necessarily believe the Oilers had their best game, either. But their effort was undoubtedly better than Vancouver&#8217;s. 
The most detrimental aspect of this loss has to be their inability to test Stuart Skinner. He looked nervous and shaky out there right off the bat; why they didn&#8217;t try and throw everything on the net is beside me. Vancouver had the opportunity to get in his head early on after Nils Höglander was allowed to set up camp and start a fire, given how much time he spent in the crease before scoring. Höglander scored on the third Canucks shot of the game. 
There were goals that Arturs Silovs probably wished he had back. I&#8217;m curious if the workload is starting to catch up to him, considering the type of goals he let in. He allowed the Zach Hyman goal to trickle through him and over the goal line. Silovs was slow to react to the Evander Kane shot off the faceoff – I&#8217;m not sure; it was just a thought. I&#8217;m hoping for a bounceback from him tonight.

There are really only two outcomes. The team will come out defeated and flat, and it will be a blowout like Game 6. Or they can go out and play with an extra chip on their shoulder and &#8220;Win it for Boes.&#8221;
It all begins and ends with the Canucks getting shots on goal on Stuart Skinner. He&#8217;s been terrible in Rogers Arena this season. In the four road games against Vancouver this season, he has a collective 5.38 GAA and a .804 S%. All they have to do is start testing him and get in his head early and often. And if they can do that, and Tyler Myers and Carson Soucy bounce back against McDavid after they struggled last game, they&#8217;ve got a good chance to advance to round three.

Well, Vancouver found out the hard way what McDavid is like after they shut him down. When he was held shotless in Game 1, he had four points in Game 2. When he was held pointless in Game 5, he had three points in Game 6.
The Oilers did a great job of line-matching McDavid away from the J.T. Miller line. This allowed McDavid to have his second offensive explosion of the series. Edmonton got decent goaltending from Stuart Skinner, although he wasn&#8217;t tested often. Is that enough for him to return to regular-season form? If so, the Canucks may be in trouble tonight.

No new Oilers injury news. Adam Henrique was out for Game 1 and returned in Game 2, playing 11:38 of ice time. He&#8217;s been out ever since.
