The NHL has announced the postponement of all Vancouver Canucks team activities through April 6 after more members of the organization entered COVID-19 protocols.

Forward Adam Gaudette was placed on the list the other day, and it was announced Thursday that defenceman Travis Hamonic was also placed on the list. A third person in the organization, a member of the coaching staff, was also placed into COVID protocols.

Depending on test results over the next number of days, the team is expected to be able to resume their schedule on April 8th.

In a statement, the NHL says “the Canucks’ organization has, and will continue to follow, all recommended guidelines aimed at protecting the health and safety of its Players, staff and community at large as set by the NHL, local, provincial and federal agencies.”

It means that three games will be forced to be re-scheduled for later in the season. Vancouver was set to start a seven game road trip starting in Edmonton on April 3rd. That game, as well as games against the Winnipeg Jets on April 4th and April 6th will be delayed.

Gaudette’s wife, Micaela, tweeted early Thursday he “isn’t in great shape.”
