The total contingent of Vancouver Canucks slated to attend the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto next month is now up to six.
Canucks forwards Elias Pettersson, J.T. Miller, and Brock Boeser, as well as goaltender Thatcher Demko, have all been voted into this year&#8217;s All-Star festivities. They&#8217;ll join Canucks captain Quinn Hughes and head coach Rick Tocchet in participating in the weekend of events.
Hughes had been one of the original 32 players selected to attend the All-Star Game by the National Hockey League&#8217;s operations staff. Tocchet will <a href="https://canucksarmy.com/news/vancouver-canucks-head-coach-rick-tocchet-to-attend-2024-nhl-all-star-game">automatically participate</a> as the head coach of the top team in the Pacific Division as of Saturday.
But now, the Canucks&#8217; cohort of All-Star attendees has tripled in size. Canucks fans turned out in droves for the annual All-Star fan vote, flooding the league&#8217;s website and social media channels with votes for Pettersson, Miller, Boeser, and Demko.

Pettersson, Miller, and Boeser respectively ranked fourth, sixth, and seventh among all skaters in total votes.
Those early projections largely carried over unchanged into the final tally. Demko led all players with 1,398,699 total votes, while Pettersson (976,716), Miller (839,215), and Boeser (762,378) all comfortably finished within the top eight among skaters.
In addition to the first 32 players selected (one from each team), the NHL opened up 12 spots for players to be added in via the fan vote. Beyond the four Canucks, the likes of Cale Maker, Leon Draisaitl, Mitch Marner, and William Nylander will also attend All-Star weekend; the other goaltenders tapped to participate are Jeremy Swayman, Alexandar Georgiev, and Sergei Bobrovsky.
Furthermore, Pettersson has been selected as one of 12 players who will participate in this year&#8217;s edition of All-Star Skills, alongside Draisaitl, Makar, Nylander, Nathan MacKinnon, David Pastrnak, Connor McDavid, Jack Hughes, Nikita Kucherov, and Auston Matthews. Fans are able to vote online for the final two participants in the skills competition, and based on the number of Canucks already attending All-Star weekend, there&#8217;s a decent chance one of Miller, Boeser, and Hughes will be selected to join Pettersson in the event.
The Canucks currently lead the entire NHL with a 29-11-3 record and 61 points in 43 games after defeating the Buffalo Sabres by a 1-0 score on Saturday afternoon. The NHL All-Star Game is currently slated to take place at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on February 3.
