The Vancouver Canucks are listed as underdogs again for Sunday night as they try to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on the St. Louis Blues in Game 3 of their first-round set.
The Canucks are set at +120 on the NHL odds against the Blues for Sunday night’s late puck drop, with St. Louis the -140 betting favorite for the contest. The Canucks were listed as underdogs in each of the first two games of this best-of-seven series as well, with their offense leading them to victories in both games to give them their current 2-0 advantage.

Vancouver won the opener of the series 5-2 as +125 underdogs back on Wednesday, with Bo Horvat scoring twice and Jacob Markstrom stopping 29 of 31 St. Louis shots. J.T. Miller, Brock Boeser, and Tanner Pearson also picked up a pair of points for the Canucks in that win.
The Canucks then increased their series lead to 2-0 on Friday with a 4-3 overtime victory as +120 underdogs at sports betting sites, with Horvat providing the winner in the extra frame. Horvat had a pair of goals in that contest as well, with Boeser and Elias Pettersson also earning two points. Markstrom faced 37 St. Louis shots in that game, making 34 saves.
Overall the Canucks are now 5-0 in their last five games dating back to Game 2 of their qualifying round series against the Minnesota Wild, with the OVER paying off for totals bettors at the sportsbooks in four of those games. Sunday night’s total has been listed at 5.5 goals.
The Blues, meanwhile, lost all three games of their round robin schedule against the Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, and Dallas Stars, so after beginning their first-round series in this 0-2 hole they’re now 0-5 since the NHL returned to action at the beginning of August.
St. Louis netminder Jordan Binnington is 0-4 so far for his team this month, sporting an ugly 4.37 goals-against average and an .862 save percentage. That could lead to a start for Jake Allen in Game 3 on Sunday night, or at the very least a short leash for Binnington. Either way, the defending champions need to find their game in a hurry or they’ll be done for the season.
