The Vancouver Canucks are a perfect 6-0-0 over their last six games. The Canucks will try to extend their winning streak at home against the New York Rangers on Saturday night.
Vancouver is a -165 home favourite on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Rangers (+145) are just 1-4 on the moneyline in their last five games against Western Conference opponents.

Rangers at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

After dominating in the defensive end in their previous four games, the Canucks let their offence do the talking in a 7-5 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night. Bo Horvat had two goals and an assist, J.T. Miller had a goal and three assists, and Elias Pettersson and Tanner Pearson both tallied a goal and two assists in the team’s sixth straight win. Pettersson scored 28 goals and 38 assists as a rookie last season, and the 21-year-old is currently on pace for 38 goals and 50 assists this season.
With the win over Chicago, Vancouver improved to 13-5-3 at home this season with its fifth straight win at home per the OddsShark NHL Database.
Artemi Panarin is fitting right in to New York’s system with 22 goals and 33 assists through his first 40 games with the Rangers. But while the team’s offense is playing well this season averaging 3.30 goals per game, the Rangers’ defense and goaltending ranks 28th in the NHL allowing 3.35 goals per game. As a result, New York is just 19-17-4 so far in 2019-20 and is currently seven points out of a playoff spot in what figures to be a very crowded playoff race in the Eastern Conference this year.
Saturday night’s total is set at 6.5 goals at online sports betting sites. The OVER is 9-0-1 in New York’s last 10 games.
Vancouver’s offense is clicking to the tune of 4.67 goals per game over the Canucks’ current six-game winning streak. New York, meanwhile, has allowed 4.33 goals per game over its current 3-5-1 skid. There should be plenty of fireworks in Saturday night’s game like there were against Chicago, and the Canucks have a great opportunity to wrap up their home stand with another win.
