The Vancouver Canucks are 0-10-0 in their last 10 games against the Winnipeg Jets. The Canucks will be looking for their first victory against the Jets since 2016 and their first win in Winnipeg since 2014 on Saturday night.
Vancouver is a +115 road underdog on the NHL odds in Winnipeg at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Jets (-135) are 9-0-0 in their last nine home games against the Canucks.
Canucks vs Jets | OddsShark Matchup Report
The Canucks dominated all three of their games against the Ottawa Senators, picking up three straight wins and outscoring Ottawa 16-3 in the process. Braden Holtby and Thatcher Demko both looked solid in net and the offense was clicking up and down the lineup. Now Vancouver will try to carry this momentum into more difficult competition over the next six games on the road against Winnipeg, Montreal (two games), and Toronto (three games).
Through their first four road games of the season, the Canucks are 1-3-0. Vancouver has been much better at home in 2021 with a 4-2-0 record.
Winnipeg played its last game back on Tuesday when it picked up a 6-4 win over the Edmonton Oilers. The Jets are off to a 5-2-0 start to the season and rank third in the NHL in goals per game averaging four per game. Nikolaj Ehlers is off to a red-hot start to the season with five goals and six assists in just seven games played. Winnipeg is 9-1 on the moneyline in its last nine games at home.
Saturday night’s total is set at 6.5 goals at sports betting sites. The OVER is 6-1 in Winnipeg’s last seven games at home and 5-2 in Vancouver’s last seven games overall.
The Jets and the Canucks have both been the beneficiaries of an early 3-0-0 record against the Ottawa Senators. Both of these teams still have plenty to prove against more legitimate competition, and this game could serve as a litmus test for where these two teams might rank in the North Division this season. Vancouver and Winnipeg both have 10 points entering Saturday night’s matchup, but Winnipeg currently has three games in hand on the Canucks.
