The Pittsburgh Penguins are 4-1 over their last five home games including a two-game winning streak on their current homestand. The Vancouver Canucks will try to snap Pittsburgh’s home winning streak with a win on Wednesday night.
Vancouver is a +145 road underdog on the NHL odds in Pittsburgh at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. The Penguins (-165) are 2-4 on the moneyline in their last six games against teams that play in the Pacific Division.

Canucks at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Canucks strung together back-to-back wins of 6-3 on the road over the Nashville Predators last Thursday and 2-1 in a shootout on the road against the Washington Capitals on Saturday before losing to the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Monday night. If only Vancouver could play the Predators in every game; the Canucks are 2-0 with 5.5 goals per game in their last two games against Nashville and 1-6-2 with 1.56 goals per game in their last nine games against all other teams.
Overall, the Canucks are 3-8 on the moneyline over their last 11 games since going 9-3 on the moneyline in their previous 12 games per the OddsShark NHL Database.
The Penguins opened the season with a 6-2 record, fueled by a five-game winning streak early in the season. Pittsburgh went just 5-5-4 over its next 14 games after the hot start, and earlier this month the team lost Sidney Crosby for 6-8 weeks with a sports hernia injury.  Backup goaltender Tristan Jarry has led the Penguins to back-to-back wins at home over the New Jersey Devils and Calgary Flames. Jarry owns a 1.82 GAA and a .945 save percentage in a hot start to the 2019-20 season.
Wednesday night’s total is set at six goals at sports betting sites. The UNDER is 7-3 in Vancouver’s last 10 road games against the Penguins.
Vancouver is 3-1 in its last four games against the Penguins including a 2-0 record in the team’s last two games at Pittsburgh. Hopefully for the Canucks, the yellow in Pittsburgh’s home jerseys are able to incite the same level of offense that the yellow in the Nashville Predators’ jerseys seem to bring out of them this season.
