Avalanche at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

The Canucks fell to 1-4-1 over their last six games on Thursday night with a 4-2 loss at home against the Dallas Stars. Vancouver’s offensive struggles continued against the Stars as the team scored two goals or fewer for the fifth time in its last six games. The Canucks have also lost three of their last four games at home since going 7-1 in their previous eight games in Vancouver. Despite their recent slump, the Canucks are still tied for the second-best goal differential in the Western Conference at +11 on the season.
November wasn’t good to the Canucks last year, either. Vancouver is now 3-16 in its last 19 games played in the month of November per the OddsShark NHL Database.
The Colorado Avalanche shot out of the gate this season to an 8-1-1 start through their first 10 games before going 0-4-1 over their next five. But since that slump, the Avalanche have been back on track with a 3-1 record over their last four games. Colorado ranks fifth best in the NHL in goals scored averaging 3.58 per game thanks in large part to Nathan MacKinnon, who leads the team in goals with 11 and assists with 15. The Avalanche are 4-8 in their last 12 games against Vancouver.
Saturday’s total is set at 6.5 goals at sports betting sites. The OVER is 8-4 in Vancouver’s last 12 games.
Colorado has scored 4.8 goals per game over its last four games. The Canucks will likely need to get back on track offensively in this one if they hope to come away with a victory. There was no shortage of offense the last time these two teams met in Vancouver as the Canucks won by a final score of 7-6 in overtime.
