It was officially ratings week for EA Sports NHL 27.
On Monday, they announced that Connor McDavid would be the first player in the franchise to be given a 99 rating. On Tuesday, they released the top forward rankings. On Wednesday, EA Sports released its full top-300 list, including defence and goaltender ratings.
That top-300 list features seven Vancouver Canucks. Here is where each Canuck ranks and all their ratings:
No. 127 – Filip Hronek – 87 overall
It should come as no surprise that Hronek is the Canucks’ highest-rated player in NHL 27. In fact, Hronek is the only Canuck whose rating increased in NHL 27, moving up one overall to his 86 in NHL 26. Last season, Hronek stepped up as a leader on a young blueline, leading Canucks defencemen with eight goals and 49 points in 82 games.
Among defencemen, Hronek shares an 87 rating with Devon Toews, Rasmus Andersson, Darren Raddysh, Brett Pesce, Brandt Clarke, Bowen Byram, Thomas Chabot, Adam Pelech, Esa Lindell, John Carlson, and Shayne Gostisbehere.
No. 141 – Elias Pettersson – 86 overall
Pettersson drops one overall from the 87 rating he had in NHL 26. That shouldn’t come as a surprise, considering the Swede regressed on a point-per-game basis from his down season in 2024-25, finishing with 15 goals and 51 points in 74 games last season.
Among centremen, Pettersson shares an 86 rating with Adam Fantilli, Sam Bennett, JT Miller, Dylan Cozens, Aliaksei Protas, Matty Beniers, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Anton Lundell, Jared McCann, Nazem Kadri, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Steven Stamkos.
No. 202 – Brock Boeser – 85 overall
Boeser falls to 85 overall from his 86 overall in NHL 26 after what was a fairly similar season to his previous. In 2024-25, Boeser scored 25 goals and 50 points, and in 2025-26, he scored 22 goals and 48 points. The biggest difference was his defensive play, finishing with the worst plus-minus rating (-48) in the entire NHL last season. That likely explains the drop in rating.
Among right wingers, Boeser shares an 85 rating with Timo Meier, Jimmy Snuggerud, Matt Coronato, Owen Tippett, Luke Evangelista, Anthony Mantha, and Jordan Eberle.
No. 215 – Marco Rossi – 85 overall
Rossi drops one overall from the 86 rating he had in NHL 26. At times last season, Rossi was often deployed as the Canucks’ top centerman, building chemistry with Boeser. In 33 games in Vancouver, Rossi scored 22 points, finishing an injury-riddled season with 35 points in 50 games.
Among centremen, Rossi shares an 85 rating with Anthony Cirelli, Brock Nelson, Quinton Byfield, Logan Stankoven, Tomas Hertl, Pavel Zacha, Frank Nazar, Morgan Frost, Mason McTavish, Ryan McLeod, Alexander Wennberg, Shane Pinto, Charlie Coyle, Blake Coleman, and Claude Giroux.
No. 238 – Jamie Oleksiak – 85 overall
Oleksiak is the only player on the list to hold his rating from NHL 26 into NHL 27 at 85 overall. Playing with the Seattle Kraken last season, Oleksiak posted a pace similar to his career average: five goals and 15 points in 78 games.
Among defenders, Oleksiak shares an 85 rating with a long list of players. Buckle up. Morgan Rielly, Jake Walman, Darnell Nurse, Rasmus Sandin, Simon Nemec, Jacob Middleton, Philip Broberg, Denton Mateychuk, Alexander Nikishin, Niko Mikkola, Sam Malinski, Marcus Pettersson, Brandon Carlo, John Marino, Adam Larsson, Ivan Provorov, Nicolas Hague, Nikita Zadorov, Mason Lohrei, Samuel Girard, Hampus Lindholm, Brayden McNabb, JJ Moser, Brenden Dillon, Mikey Anderson, Erik Cernak, Jacob Trouba, Artem Zub, Kaiden Guhle, Dmitry Orlov, Jonathan Kovacevic, Chris Tanev, Connor Murphy, Drew Doughty, Kris Letang, and Brent Burns.
No. 269 – Thatcher Demko – 84 overall
Demko drops a whopping four overall from the 88 rating he had in NHL 26. Based on true talent, Demko is much better than an 84 overall. However, a player’s best ability is their availability, and Demko started just 20 games last season and finished with a below .900 save percentage for the second straight season.
Among goaltenders, Demko shared an 84 rating with Jacob Markstrom, Darcy Kuemper, and Yaroslav Askarov.
No. 289 – Jake DeBrusk – 84 overall
DeBrusk drops one overall from the 85 rating he had in NHL 26. After scoring 28 goals and 48 points in his debut season as a Canuck, DeBrusk dropped to 23 goals and 42 points in 2025-26. While 23 goals is still respectable, scoring only four at even strength likely contributed to his lower rating.
Among left wingers, DeBrusk shares an 84 rating with Artturi Lehkonen, Pavel Buchnevich, Zach Benson, Dmitri Voronkov, Tyler Bertuzzi, and Noah Cates.
