Welcome to “2 Guys and a Goalie,” starring Dustin Nielson, Joaquin Gage, and Matt Kassian and presented by Odds Shark, Popeye’s Louisiana Chicken, and Sports Clips Haircuts. The show focuses on stories, notes, transactions, and everything else happening all around the NHL and the world of hockey.
There is no goalie this week, as Gager’s away but Shawn Belle’s back to fill the net.
The boys chat about @Jacob Markstrom and where he stands in the hierarchy of NHL goaltenders.
But they kick things off chatting about the injury to @Evgeny Malkin, and what this means for the @Pittsburgh Penguins’ season. They also touch on @Sidney Crosby dropping the gloves with @Pierre-Luc Dubois, and whether fighting is something that a superstar should be doing in today’s game.
The @Columbus Blue Jackets featured a home-opener video that seemed to take some shots at the former players who left during the offseason. Kass and Belle share their thoughts as former players on how this might come across to current players.
Kass and Belle share some stories from one of their former coaches, and some of the ridiculous things that they experienced.
