We know, we know.

You don’t want any Andrei Kuzmenko updates unless he’s officially signed a deal.

But for those of you that do want to know about the meetings between NHL teams and the highly-coveted free agent KHL winger who finished second in scoring last season are going, we’ve got something for you today. Not much, but something.

On Wednesday, Kuzmenko and his agent Dan Milstein continued their tour of second meetings with various NHL clubs with a stop in Edmonton to go meet the Edmonton Oilers’ brass in person.

Milstein isn’t saying anything publicly about the meetings, so we’re left with the information that’s available on social media.

Yesterday, an Oilers fan snapped a picture of Oilers GM Ken Holland along with head coach Jay Woodcroft out for lunch at JOEY — the restaurant chain that proudly refers to itself as “The Ultimate in Casual Dining.”

So, it would appear the Oilers took Kuzmenko out to JOEY — commonly referred to as “Joeys” — to give him their pitch.

But that’s not all; the Oilers appear to have gifted a signed Wayne Gretzky jersey to Kuzmenko as well, as Milstein posted this on his Instagram story with the caption “P.S. Don’t get any ideas.”

Today, Kuzmenko makes the short trip from YEG to YVR in order to meet with the Vancouver Canucks.

You can assume based on past history that they’ll be taking Kuzmenko out to Blue Water Cafe or Elisa Steakhouse — two restaurants owned by the Aquilinis where free agents can often be seen during the offseason while the Canucks make their best pitch to them.

The only question now is, will they have a signed Pavel Bure jersey on hand?

Kuzmenko, 26, tallied 20 goals and 33 assists through 45 games played.
