Canucks announce return of Penticton Young Stars Classic and other key dates

On Tuesday afternoon, the Vancouver Canucks announced key dates for the 2022 off-season — including the return of the famed Young Stars Classic in Pentiction this September.
The Young Stars Classic was last held in 2018 and typically involves prospects from the Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Winnipeg Jets competing in a tournament format.
@Elias Pettersson, @Brock Boeser, @Johnny Gaudreau, @Connor McDavid, @Leon Draisaitl, and @Mark Scheifele rank as some of the tournament’s top alumni.
The 2022 Young Stars Classic will be held from September 14 to 18 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton.
The Canucks also announced they will hold their annual prospects camp at UBC Vancouver from July 10 to 15, as well as 2022 Training Camp sessions in Whistler, B.C. on September 23 and 24.

May 9–12: Amateur Scouting Meetings
May 13–15: Pro Scouting Meetings
July 7–8: NHL Entry Draft (Montreal, QC)
July 10–15: Development/Prospects Camp (UBC Vancouver)
July 13: NHL Free Agency Begins (9:00 a.m. PT)
Sept. 14–18: Young Stars Classic (Rookie Camp in Penticton, B.C.)
Sept. 19: Jake Milford Charity Invitational Golf Tournament
Sept. 23–24: Canucks Training Camp (Whistler, B.C.)
The Canucks wrapped up their 2021–22 regular-season schedule on April 29 with a 3–2 overtime loss in Edmonton, finishing the year in fifth place in the Pacific Division with a 40–30–12 record.
