WWYDW: Gone Hunting

Nov 11, 2015, 14:51 ESTUpdated:

Welcome back to “What Would You Do Wednesday!” we missed last week, mostly because we couldn’t think of things that we could do (actually, I fell asleep at the wheel). Today, let’s talk about a youngster who is ripping it up away from the main roster.
Hunter Shinkaruk is having an amazing start to his sophomore AHL season. Toronto’s William Nylander is the only player who started the season under the age of 21 with more points. Through 11 games, Shinkaruk has a ridiculous nine goals and three assists, with six of those goals coming from a pair of hat tricks.
This, of course, has people wondering what the best course of action is with him. Do you push somebody out to call him up? Do you use him as the first option when a winger goes down with an injury? Or do you wait until you’re absolutely certain that he’ll never have to play a game for the Comets again.
Personally, I’m a fan of the third option, but what do you think? What is the best option for Hunter Shinkaruk at this point in time?
We’ll use your best answers in next week’s WWYDW! I’d go back to two weeks ago, but at this point, nobody wants to hear a bunch of “I’d keep McCann and Virtanen” responses; we’re past that stage.
