The Vancouver Canucks are expected to remain at 50% fan capacity for the foreseeable future.

On Monday, the B.C. government extended a gatherings order removing what was supposed to be an end time of 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday.

What does that mean? Well, the previous order limiting venues to 50% capacity and keeping bars and gyms closed has no set end date.

For the Canucks, it likely means the team will have to settle in losing some revenue unless, that is, the NHL steps in to postpone more home games. The Canucks have only had two games postponed so far due to attendance reasons, and it’s not yet known what the NHL’s plan is.

The league has, however, postponed a number of other Canadian teams games over the last month due to similar attendance issues.

Nonetheless, it’s appearing this will be a new norm the team will have to work through.
