It’s the end of an era for the Miller family and the Vancouver Canucks.
One week after JT Miller was traded to the New York Rangers, his wife Natalie is opening up about what their six years in Vancouver meant to them.
In a touching Instagram post, Natalie Miller wrote:
“Vancouver there are not enough words I can say about how much we loved our time here. Raising our babies, trying new food, exploring and being in Roger arena will forever be some of our favorite memories. Thank you for every message. We are so grateful for the support and love and will hold onto our time here really close to our hearts. THANK YOU”
JT Miller was originally traded to Vancouver from the Tampa Bay Lightning in June 2019. Through his seven seasons with the team, he quickly became a fan favourite for his passionate play and ability to rack up points, especially in the playoffs.
Off the ice, the Millers were active members of their community, supporting charitable initiatives across the city.
Most notably, they spearheaded a project called “Cloud 9,” donating their luxury suite at Rogers Arena to give families with sick children the opportunity to attend Canucks games for free.
In an October Instagram post, she spoke about what it meant for the pair to put it all together:
“My [vision] for it was to make it super personal, host those kiddos in there, give the parents a night that is fun and happy and there’s no pain. Honestly, it’s been such a dream of mine since J.T. and I have been here in Vancouver.”
The departure is bittersweet for the Millers, who will now be closer to their off-season home and are reconnecting with longtime friends Vincent and Hillary Trocheck.
Last week, Hillary Trocheck posted on Instagram that JT Miller has already moved in with their family.

As they embark on their next adventure, they’re fondly remembering their time in Vancouver. For Canucks fans, the feeling is mutual.
