Following his NHL draft selection, Alrksson was taken 34th overall by the Guelph Storm at the CHL import draft. Making the immediate transition, he’s collected 56 points (28 goals) across 93 appearances.
The versatile winger has played various roles and has been enjoying a healthy stretch of games as a top-line player this season.
With 14 points over his last ten games, Vilmer Alriksson is up to 19 points (9G, 10A) through 20 games. #Canucks
Firing at a 61-point clip, he's on pace to double his rookie numbers from last year and leads the Guelph Storm in goals, second in points and third in shots (66). pic.twitter.com/QA6yACZIZH

He’s currently on pace for a career season, firing at a 57-point pace through 27 games after enjoying a recent strong stretch of 10 points in seven games.
Brampton is eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, but fourth (tied) in the league with 130 goals scored thanks to a potent offensive roster.
The team holds several prospects, including Carson Rehkopf (SEA), Luke Misa (CGY), Jakub Fibigr (SEA), Finn Harding (PITT), Stevie Leskover (MIN), Angus MacDonell (DAL), and 2025 draft-eligibles Porter Martone (top-5 hopeful) and Jack Ivankovic (goalie).
While he hasn’t lit the scoresheet on fire within Gotti point totals, Alriksson has steadily increased this value post-draft. Weighing 237 pounds, his unique frame, coupled with soft hands and a heavy shot, brings an intriguing skill set.
He made a strong impression during Vancouver’s training camp and preseason games, which led to him signing his Entry-Level NHL deal before returning to the Junior ranks.
“Vilmer had a solid training camp and continues to develop and improve,” said GM Patrik Allvin said in the team press release. “We really like his size, skating ability, and skillset, and we will continue to monitor his progress and work with him this year to help Vilmer get ready to take another step forward in his hockey career.”
His first opportunity to dress for his new team will be on Wednesday, as his new club is set to host the Branford Bulldogs.
