Welcome back to this week’s edition of Throwback Thursday!
On this day in Canucks history, former captain, Trevor Linden, played in his 1000th career game on a night when Vancouver put up a 4-0 beatdown over the Los Angeles Kings.

Back on March 26th, 2002, Trevor Linden played in a milestone game against the Los Angeles Kings that saw him hit the 1000 game plateau in his illustrious career. Linden was held pointless that night, but did get on the scoresheet with four penalty minutes — two for high sticking and two for tripping. It’s also worth noting that the 2001-02 season was Linden’s first in his return to the Canucks after being traded away to the New York Islanders for Todd Bertuzzi, Brian McCabe, and a third-round pick (Jarkko Ruutu) in February of 1998.
Over the course of 16 seasons in Vancouver, Trevor Linden played in a total of 1140 games in his two stints with the Canucks, registering 318 goals and 415 assists for a total of 733 points which ranks him fourth in all-time franchise scoring.
