Another one bites the dust.
Scheduled to play the Ottawa Senators at Rogers Arena Saturday, the Vancouver Canucks have had the game postponed.
The game was scheduled to be played with 50% capacity, but reports surfaced Friday that the Senators, who were scheduled to fly to Vancouver this morning, haven’t left Ottawa.
The Canucks were scheduled to practice at Scotia Barn Friday, but it was scraped in favour of team workouts at Rogers Arena.
It marks the second game this week alone that had been postponed. On Wednesday, the New York Islanders were scheduled to visit Vancouver but that game was put on the shelf.
It appears the league it trying to hold out for larger capacity sizes in arena’s to assist teams in gaining revenue, but one has to wonder how long that will be sustainable for.
Vancouver is next scheduled to play in Florida Tuesday.
