The Vancouver Canucks and General Manager Patrick Allvin have announced significant updates to the club’s hockey operations staff ahead of the 2024-25 National Hockey League (NHL) season.

Chris Trivieri has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Therapist after spending three seasons with the Abbotsford Canucks. Trivieri began his tenure with Abbotsford during the 2021-22 season as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and was later named Head Athletic Therapist for the 2023-24 season.

Joining Trivieri in the athletic department is Curtis Bell, who has been named Athletic Therapist. Bell brings a wealth of experience to the Canucks, having served as Head Athletic Trainer for the Tampa Bay Lightning, New Jersey Devils, and Florida Panthers at various points in his career. The Los Angeles, CA native joins Vancouver after 12 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as Assistant Athletic Trainer, Director of Sports Performance, and most recently, Athletic Trainer.
Vancouver native Gerry Ramogida has also been appointed as Performance Therapist. Ramogida is a highly respected chiropractor and performance therapist with nearly three decades of experience working with elite athletes across the NHL, NBA, NFL, EPL, and Olympic Track and Field.
The Canucks have also strengthened their scouting department with the full-time hires of Patrick Leblond and Luca Caputi as Amateur Scouts. Leblond brings experience from six seasons as a scout for the Cape Breton Eagles of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), most recently serving as Director of Scouting and Hockey Operations Administration for the 2023-24 season.
Caputi, who played 35 games in the NHL between 2008 and 2011 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs, brings a blend of professional playing and coaching experience. The Toronto, ON native spent parts of the last three seasons as Head Coach of the Kingston Frontenacs, leading them to the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) playoffs during the 2021-22 season.
The Canucks kick off their 2024-25 NHL season at home on October 9, 2024, against the Calgary Flames.
