Vancouver Canucks forward Tyler Motte has been nominated for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy.

The award is presented to the “player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community.”

Nominees across the league were selected by their respective teams and the winner will be selected by Commissioner Gary Bettman and Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly.

Motte was also named by the Canucks as the team’s Daniel & Henrik Sedin Award for Community Leadership.

He was also named the club’s nominee for the Bill Masterton Trophy.

This year, Motte has spoken about his struggles with depression and anxiety launching the “Motter’s Mental Health Fund.”
