A Minnesota native, the Vancouver Canucks selected Brock Boeser 23rd overall in the 2015 NHL draft.
Almost immediately after being drafted, Boeser made an impact with the Canucks. In his NHL debut, Boeser scored his first career NHL goal, ironically enough, against his hometown Minnesota Wild.
Despite suffering an injury that ended his rookie season early, Boeser put up 29 goals and 55 points. While he has had his ups and downs with injuries throughout his career, Boeser has remained a consistent goalscorer for the Canucks. 
In the 2017-18 season, the Canucks were going through a roster overhaul. For years, Henrik and Daniel Sedin were the driving forces behind the Canucks offence. In 2017-18, however, the Canucks began to transition more youth into the lineup, including a new face, Brock Boeser.
By the end of the 2017-18 season, Boeser was tied for first on the Canucks in points with Daniel Sedin. Not bad for a rookie, especially when he led the team with 29 goals.
In 2023-24, Boeser set a new career high in goals with 40, which he followed up with a 25-goal season in a contract year.
In addition to his regular season success, Boeser has been a key playoff performer for the Canucks. During the team’s 2023-24 playoff run, the star forward led the team with seven goals in 12 games, including a three-point performance in Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers. 
Heading into free agency, there was uncertainty that Boeser would resign with the Canucks, as numerous teams were reportedly interested in the sniper. 
Throughout his career, Boeser has developed into one of the most consistent goal scorers in Canucks history. Boeser ranks eighth in goals in Canucks history with 215 goals in 583 games. 
Fresh off a seven-year contract, the Canucks will look to Brock Boeser to provide some much-needed offensive firepower for the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
