In June, the Vancouver Canucks announced the return of the Young Stars Classic, set to take place from September 13-16 at the South Okanagan Events Centre in Penticton, B.C. This marks the 11th edition of the tournament, which has showcased some of the National Hockey League’s biggest stars, including Elias Pettersson, Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl.

On Wednesday, the Canucks confirmed that single-game tickets for the 2024 Young Stars Classic will go on sale Friday, August 16th, at 10:00 a.m. PT. Tickets start at $26.00 for adults and $15.00 for children aged 12 and under. A limited number of Double Header Packages will also be available for $35.00, allowing fans to attend both NHL games on either Friday, September 13th or Monday, September 16th.
The tournament will feature a round-robin competition between prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, and Winnipeg Jets. Notable players expected to compete include Vancouver’s Jonathan Lekkerimäki and Sawyer Mynio, Calgary’s Zayne Parekh, Edmonton’s Matt Savoie, and Winnipeg’s Colby Barlow.
In addition to the on-ice action, the Young Stars Classic will once again host the “Party on the Plaza” outside the South Okanagan Events Centre. This free event, which was a hit last year, will include games, bouncy castles, crafting stations, and a chance to meet the Canucks’ mascot, FIN.
The matchups will kick off with Game 1 between the Calgary Flames and the Winnipeg Jets on Friday, September 13th, at 4:00 p.m. PT. Later that evening, the Vancouver Canucks will face off against the Edmonton Oilers at 7:30 p.m. PT. On Saturday, September 14th, the BCHL’s Penticton Vees will play an exhibition game against the Salmon Arm Silverbacks at 3:00 p.m. PT, followed by Game 3 between Calgary and Edmonton at 7:30 p.m. PT. Sunday, September 15th, will feature a matchup between Vancouver and Winnipeg at 2:00 p.m. PT. The tournament will conclude on Monday, September 16th, with Winnipeg taking on Edmonton at 11:00 a.m. PT, followed by Calgary vs. Vancouver at 2:30 p.m. PT.
