Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
It was on this day in 1991 that Pavel Bure scored his first NHL goal. It, along with his second career goal, came in an 8-2 thrashing against the LA Kings at the Pacific Coliseum.
Bure’s first goal, which was unassisted, saw a puck come out to him as he was between the faceoff dots in the offensive zone. He took the puck and made a quick move to his backhand to beat Kelly Hrudey.
His second goal was icing on the cake and was the final goal scored of the game at the 18:12 mark in the third frame.
His league debut had come just one week earlier.
