Throwback Thursday: Today in 1989, Vancouver Canucks Trevor Linden sets club record for most points in a game

Welcome back to another edition of Throwback Thursday!
On this day in 1989, Vancouver Canucks rookie Trevor Linden scored one goal and three assists setting a new club playoff record for most points in a game.
The record came in a 5-3 win over the Calgary Flames in game four of the Smythe Divison semi-finals. Linden contributed assists on Mel Bridgman’s opening goal in the first period and on third period goals scored by Paul Reinhart and Robert Nordmak.
As well, standout rookie Trevor Linden’s goal and three assists set a club playoff record for most points in a game. Tony Tanti also broke out of a bit of slump with three assists, which tied him with Linden for a club record assists-in-one-game playoff record. “I definitely thing Steve Weeks made a big difference in the game,” said Linden, not yet 19 but, playing like a seasoned veteran. “He (Weeks) really kept us in the game.”
Linden himself scored his powerplay tally to open the second frame. The rookie had himself quite a season as he became the first rookie in team history to score 30 goals in a season.
