The official rights for the Vancouver Canucks radio broadcasts are staying with Sportsnet 650, according to reports.
The rights were set to end at the conclusion of this season, but the Daily Hive’s Tyler Green is reporting the contract has been renewed. The contract is reportedly set to run through the end of the 2025-26 season, which would align with Sportsnet’s national television deal.
Vancouver began shopping the radio rights in December while Chorus Entertainment reportedly took a “serious look” at acquiring them, Green reported.
Sportsnet 650 launched in Vancouver on Sept. 4, 2017.
