Michael Ferland to begin skating; Josh Leivo still rehabilitating broken knee cap

Some news emerged Monday from TSN’s Farhan Lalji regarding some injured Vancouver Canucks.
Michael Ferland will reportedly begin skating in Winnipeg when their facility opens up.
“He’s gone through testing and has been cleared to skate,” Lalji tweeted Monday. “No symptoms and believes he’s close to being ready to play.”
Ferland, 28, was limited to just 14 games this year after suffering from concussions.
Josh Leivo continues to rehabilitate a broken knee cap suffered in late-December. Lalji reported the injury is taking longer to heal and its unlikely he’ll be ready for training camp this July, and may not be ready until next year.
