Vancouver Canucks fans have gotten their wish. 
With the puck set to drop on the Stanley Cup Playoffs this Saturday, Sportsnet has unveiled its broadcast teams for the first round of postseason action. Canucks fans received a treat for the 1st round against Nashville, with the announcement of their regional team featuring the familiar voices of John Shorthouse, Dave Tomlinson, and Dan Murphy. This marks Shorthouse&#8217;s television debut in calling a Canucks playoff series, which many can say is a long time coming for the voice of the team.

Having previously lent his voice to many playoff games on the radio, Shorthouse is no stranger to capturing the excitement of postseason hockey. One of his most memorable calls came during the 2011 playoff series against the Blackhawks, immortalized by his iconic line &#8220;They Slayed The Dragon!&#8221; as Alex Burrows scored the decisive goal in Game 7. Joining Shorthouse in the broadcast booth is Dave Tomlinson, providing expert analysis, while Dan Murphy delivers rinkside reports.
Meanwhile, other playoff matchups will feature great broadcasting teams as well, including the lead Hockey Night in Canada crew of Chris Cuthbert, Craig Simpson, and Kyle Bukauskas for the Leafs vs. Bruins series. For the Jets vs. Avalanche matchup, John Bartlett, Garry Galley, and Scott Oake will be on the call, while Harnarayan Singh, Louie DeBrusk, and Gene Principe will cover the Oilers vs. Kings series.

Mantar Bhandal and Harpreet Pandher will provide commentary, Randip Janda will handle hosting duties, and Gurpreet Sian and Taqdeer Thindal will serve as analysts. This weekend, they will be calling Game 1 between the Bruins and Leafs at TD Garden.
