After recently returning from a groin injury, Jack Skille has taken another blow. Late in the second period, Wild forward Charlie Coyle went in for a hit, which then caused Skille to fall awkwardly on his ankle. At first glance, it appeared it was his knee that had been hurt, but the Canucks confirmed that it was his ankle.
Simply put, the les isn’t supposed to do that. He was in obvious discomfort and agony as he fell to the ice. Honestly, there was nothing wrong with the hit. You see is every game, but it is unfortunate that Skille landed the way he did. Given his reaction and the visible pain he was in, return for the game is highly unlikely. Could he be out for the last 7 games of the season? I wouldn’t rule that out as well.
