Jack Rathbone discharged from hospital, expected to travel with Abbotsford Canucks after scary hit

By now, you’ve likely already seen the scary-looking hit in the numbers on Jack Rathbone Wednesday night that resulted in Canucks nation holding their collective breath.
If you haven’t, here it is:
Rathbone was hit by Bakersfield Condors forward Colton Sceviour and remained motionless on the ice for 13 minutes before being taken off on a stretcher.
It was a scary looking incident, but thankfully, Rathbone appears as though he’ll be okay. The Abbotsford Canucks released the following statement Thursday morning:
Jack was alert and responsive before being taken to a local hospital following a hit that occurred during last night’s game at Bakersfield. Jack was discharged from the hospital last night, and after being thoroughly assessed by physicians, he is expected to travel with the team today to Colorado.
Sceviour received a five-minute major for boarding and a 10-minute game misconduct. Rathbone had assists on each of the Canucks’ two goals to that point in the game.
