On today&#8217;s episode of Canucks Conversation, we said our final goodbye to a friend.
I bid farewell to my dear co-host Chris Faber, as today marked his final day on the show. &#8220;The man who built the place&#8221;, Canucks Conversation started as Faber’s passion project back in 2018, and evolved far beyond either of our wildest dreams.
We got through the pandemic together, and our show really took off during the 2020 bubble playoffs. We had a special partnership, and today was the end of that partnership as Chris gets set to start his new role with the Vancouver Canucks as a senior hockey writer on Monday.
Here are some highlights from today&#8217;s show.
First, there was our generous Crown pour, as Faber got the Crown Royal flowing early today as new cohost Harman Dayal watched on from afar:

Later, Faber gave one final monologue as he bid adieu to the listeners for one final time.

&#8220;It&#8217;s been so much fun to do this show, I&#8217;m going to miss this show&#8230; I decided to start my own thing and just talk to people, and it worked out. It grew into what I was doing at CanucksArmy, almost five years at CanucksArmy. When Jason Botchford passed away, there was such a huge void to fill and I think Canucks media and Canucks Twitter, everybody has done such a good job continuing the legacy of what Botch did so well in this market&#8230;I had a blast doing it, I&#8217;m really going to miss what I built here&#8230; I&#8217;m really going to miss what we had here with this show, but I know you guys are continuing on and still going to have a lot of fun on this show and still going to bring some of the best Canucks conversation in the market with the show you and Harman are going to.&#8221;
