Welcome to the yearly wrap up of the top read articles over the last year!
In early June, the league’s teams began to put together their list of players — and extras — that would accompany them to their respective bubbles.
On June 8, an article penned by me broke down the list. It was the 14th most-read article this year.
The article was fairly short and took note of who the Canucks wanted as their extra bodies in Vancouver. Here’s what I wrote:
The Vancouver Canucks have submitted a list of players to the NHL as their black aces for when the season returns.TSN’s Farhan Lalji tweeted the list Monday. In the forward ranks, the Canucks requested Justin Bailey, Reid Boucher, Tyler Graovac, Kole Lind, and Sven Baertschi. On the backend the team is looking to bring up Guillaume Brisebois, Jalen Chatfield, Olli Juolevi, Brogan Rafferty and Ashton Sautner while in net, Michael DiPietro would get the call.Teams have already begun phase two with the Edmonton Oilers hosting a group of players for an on-ice workout Monday. No word yet on when the Canucks will open their facilities up.
