Canucks vs Flames | OddsShark Matchup Report

Since scoring five goals in their season opener against the Edmonton Oilers, the Canucks have scored only two goals since, losing to the Oilers 5-2 on Thursday night and to the Flames 3-0 on Saturday night. Vancouver is hoping that the return of last season’s leading scorer J.T. Miller will help to spark the offense on Monday night. Miller, who tested positive for COVID-19 despite having no symptoms, was cleared to come out of quarantine on Sunday. He scored 27 goals and 45 assists in his first season with the Canucks last year.

Elias Pettersson is off to a slow start in 2021 with just one assist through the Canucks’ first three games. J.T. Miller’s return and Pettersson’s eventual return to his usual form will help Vancouver to get things going on offense, but in this shortened regular season format, the Canucks need this turnaround to happen sooner rather than later.
