The Canucks played two relatively uneventful games this week and Bo Horvat is the only one who did anything of note, so today I’m going to rank the team a little differently. Last season, I ranked the Canucks based on the best .gif I could find of each of them. Surely with all of the new Canucks and new content, there are enough .gifs to do a 2016/17 version of the same. I apologize for the lack of originality – it was this or alphabetically by last name.
28. Alex Biega:
There is almost no fun Alex Biega content on the internet. The best Alex Biega gif is actually more of an average Nikita Tryamkin gif.

27. Reid Boucher:
I swear I looked for new Reid Boucher content but I can only find this one of him being worried about deer.
26. Anton Rodin:
Here is a gif of a healthy Anton Rodin playing hockey and scoring a goal. This is not doctored footage – this actually happened.

25. Markus Granlund:
Where the hell is this, Markus? One of these before the end of the season or you’re going to Vegas.

24. Jayson Megna:
Here is a gif of Jayson Megna in his Penguins days. He is receiving a large rock after a game.

23. Troy Stecher:
Troy Stecher seems like a pretty focused guy, so there aren’t too many funny gifs of him. I’m partial to this one of him emerging from goal celebration that had hidden him completely.

22. Jack Skille:
Here we have Jack Skille dancing in front of a fake sunset.

21. Alex Edler:
The most “Alex Edler” gif in the world is this one of him trying to avoid being included in a team photo.

20. Jannik Hansen:
This gif of Jannik Hansen going “Oh, stop it!” at David Booth probably has a great backstory that we will never hear.
19. Loui Eriksson:
The best Loui Eriksson gif is this one of him being fed a cookie. He looks so small here.

18. Erik Gudbranson:
The best Erik Gudbranson gif is more of a Claude Giroux gif. But what a gif it is.

17. Brandon Sutter:
Here is a gif of Brandon Sutter being a child.
16. Sven Baertschi:
No gif list is complete without a dab.
15. Brendan Gaunce:
Height-fearing Brendan Gaunce staring into the camera like Jim from The Office while riding the Peak to Peak gondola is hilarious, even though he looks a little bit like he wants to cry.

14. Derek Dorsett:
That baby is too small for that hat!
13. Philip Larsen:
I was worried that the only Philip Larsen gifs would be of that awful injury earlier this year, but check out his flamethrower!

12. Nikita Tryamkin:
Nikita Tryamkin’s size makes him extremely gif-able, but his best is the twerking he did mid-game. His teammates are baffled.
11. Alex Burrows:
Here is a gif of Alex Burrows doing something. I have no idea what he’s doing, but it’s fun.

10. Chris Tanev:
Last season, Chris Tanev’s petulant eyeroll was the best Chris Tanev gif. This season I’ve found a new gif with an even more petulant eyeroll.
9. Jacob Markstrom:
Jacob Markstrom feigning getting hit by a puck on the bench is one of the most adorable things that has happened this season. Stay fun, Jacob.

8. Henrik Sedin:
Speaking of cute, what’s cuter than Henrik Sedin’s son telling Henrik Sedin that the painting of Henrik Sedin is of Henrik Sedin?
7. Daniel Sedin:
The answer to the above question? Daniel Sedin’s daughter stealing his nose.

6. Bo Horvat:
Recency bias might factor into this a tiny bit, but Bo Horvat’s reaction to All Star teammate Mike Smith’s 20-point shot is priceless.
5. Ryan Miller:
Ryan Miller’s face is unreal here. This is the ultimate Canucks headshake gif.

4. Michael Chaput:
I had low expectations for the Michael Chaput gif pool but wow. He’s holding an ocelot. Like one of those mini-jaguar things. Absolutely stunning and totally unexpected. I love ocelots, which might affect how high this gif ranks.

3. Luca Sbisa:
Look at this tragic but hilarious gif of Luca Sbisa trying to head a soccer ball.
2. The Sedins (as a collective unit):
I snubbed this gif last year, but it’s probably the most famous Canucks-related gif ever. How do they do it?
1. Ben Hutton:
Ben Hutton is by far the most gif-able Canuck. Choosing the best Ben Hutton gif is basically impossible, but I’ve done my best. With all due respect to his winks, his goal celebrations, and his other dance moves, in my eyes he still hasn’t topped his Barbie Girl lip sync. But it’s only a matter of time until he does, right?
