Canucks at Bruins | OddsShark Matchup Report
The Canucks had a five-game winning streak snapped with a 4-3 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday night, but still managed to pick up a point in a solid effort on the second night of a back-to-back. Vancouver has earned five of a possible six points so far on its current five-game road trip and is now 4-1-1 over its last six road games since going 4-9 in its previous 13 games away from home. Over the team’s current 14-3-1 run, the Canucks offense is averaging 3.67 goals per game.
In their last three games against the Bruins, Vancouver is 3-0-0 with two blowout wins per the OddsShark NHL Database.
Boston picked up its third straight win and improved to 7-2-1 over its last 10 games with a 6-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday night. David Pastrnak picked up a goal and two assists in the win, taking over the NHL’s goal-scoring lead with his 38th goal so far in 2019-20. Ranking sixth in the NHL in goals per game with 3.34 and best in the league in goals against allowing only 2.45 goals per game, the Bruins look poised to make another serious run at the Stanley Cup this season.
Tuesday night’s total is set at six goals at online sports betting sites. The OVER is 8-2 in Vancouver’s last 10 games on the road.
Regardless of how this game turns out, Vancouver will have the chance to close out a successful road trip with a win against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. But this game is without a doubt the crown jewel of the trip; the Canucks have been playing like a contender since mid-December, and a road win over a team of Boston’s caliber would give a huge boost to this young team’s confidence down the stretch.
