It’s playoff time! Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait one more day until Vancouver Canucks fans get a taste of playoff action for the first time since the 2020 bubble run. But today, we have a high-profile matchup to bet on.
Today’s expected goaltender matchups for our highlighted game:
The Toronto Maple Leafs’ Ilya Samsonov (23-7-8). vs. The Boston Bruins’ Linus Ullmark (22-10-7).

Brad Marchand Point (-138)
Two elements to Brad Marchand’s game will make him an X-Factor in this series.
Firstly, he’s a playoff performer. He had four goals and 10 points in seven playoff games last season, and if we date back to the previous three playoffs, he has 33 points in 25 games.
Secondly, he loves playing the Maple Leafs. He has a point in all four games against them this season, totalling five points. If we want to date back to the previous three seasons, he has 10 points in his last 10 games.
If he can continue his playoff and Leafs success, Toronto may be in trouble.
David Pastrnak Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (+115)
A $10.00 bet would return $21.50.
David Pastrnak has cleared this line in only three of his last seven games, averaging 4.3 shots on 7.1 shot attempts. He is clearing at a 49% clip at home this season, averaging 4.8 shots on 9.2 shot attempts.
Just like his captain, Pastrnak also finds another gear come playoff time.
Against the Leafs, Pastrnak has cleared in two of four games this season, averaging 6.0 shots on 11.3 shot attempts. In each of those four games, he has registered 10+ shot attempts. With this in mind, if we filter to games where Pastrnak has had 10 shot attempts in any game this season, he’s now clearing this line in 81% of games, averaging 6.3 shots per game.
Toronto has played undisciplined lately, averaging the second most powerplay opportunities against (3.8) per game over their last 10. The powerplay is where Pastrnak shines, as he leads all other Bruins by 41 shots on goal and 76 shot attempts on the powerplay.
Last Game Recap:
Thatcher Demko Under 26.5 Saves – WON – (+$4.34)
Well, it wasn’t the script we anticipated, but Demko still stayed under our number in the mean-nothing game.
All-Time Record: 7-10 (-$48.05)
