Great! #TBT - It was love at first sight for Henrik and Daniel when they first visited Vancouver back in 1999.

- Tuesday vs. Las Vegas wasn’t an ordinary game, no matter how much the twins wanted it to be:
- People say the NHL is one of, if not the, classiest professional sports leagues in the world. The Vegas Golden Knights set the standard for Arizona and Edmonton, who the Canucks were set to face in their final two games:
- The Canucks dig into the archives in finding footage of the twins’ first visit to Vancouver in 1999. Daniel and Henrik, with an old-school camera in hand, got their first glimpse of what would be their long-term home:
- Thursday: the last home game. Canucks TV was able to tag along in Henrik’s Tesla (bonus point for driving an electric vehicle!) for their last drive to the rink:
"It’s little things like our drives to the rink for games I’ll really miss..." Join Daniel & Henrik on their final drive to @RogersArena. #ThankYouSedins
- Hours before they’d step on the ice for their final home game, Daniel and Henrik walked into Rogers Arena looking suave as always:
The final arrival. #ThankYouSedins
- As part of the “Every Kid’s Dream” opportunity that the Canucks offer each game, one lucky girl got the chance to skate out and stand between the twins in their final game on home ice. This was quite a precious moment:
3RD IS A GO! #ThankYouSedins
- Their kids were shown on the jumbotron during the game. Daniel was pretty happy about it, saying “I saw our kids up on the jumbotron during the game and smiled. I knew we made the right decision.” If he’s happy, we’re happy.
The Sedin competitiveness has definitely been inherited by their kids! #ThankYouSedins
- Going into the third period, Johnny Canuck and the crowd brought out the Viking Clap, which Henrik once pointed out would be cool if it happened. They got their wish and, as someone who was in the stands, it was pretty awesome:
- and then… it happened. The game couldn’t have been scripted any better:
- Canucks TV had the twins mic’d up throughout the game, from the start of the anthems to their final walk off the ice:
- Daniel was happy with the outcome:
"We are quiet guys who don't like a lot of attention...but looking back now, we are happy with our decision. We hope the fans are happy, because we're happy to go out this way." - D.Sedin appreciative of all the fan support.
- Henrik was as well:
"It was really nice how things ended...this is a night where, when you get a chance to go through it, it's once in a lifetime." - Henrik on an emotional evening with the fans.
- Friday: their last road trip. It looks like a Swedish media outlet sent out a crew to capture the moments:
“Last night was amazing and #Canucks fans are the best!” - Henrik Sedin, probably. It’s a Swedish interview...🤷♂️🇸🇪📺
- “Kids, why don’t you go take a picture in front of that plane?”
- “Mom, this is so embarrassing!”
Final roadie of the season. Final roadie of their careers. #ThankYouSedins
- From their arrival until the very end, the Edmonton Oilers showed nothing but class towards the twins. As a congratulatory gift, the organization gave them custom engraved wine bottles:

- And then at the end of the game, emotions were certainly flowing:
