The Canucks lost every game they played this week but they did some good stuff, too. For example, we now know that Daniel Sedin would never go on a date with Jannik Hansen and Luca Sbisa once fell down a full flight of stairs. All that and more:
  • Jake Virtanen wore a mic on retro night. This could have been really fun if the game had gone well but the game did not go well. Jake requests some “backhand toe-ies” and polite language from his teammates. Not a whole lot else happens aside from some audio of Virtanen murdering Leafs.
  • Oh and he totally skips Vrbata with the stick tap. Ooooooh.
  • After the aforementioned retro fiasco, Jacob Markstrom joined Scott Oake for a miniature After Hours-like segment. He was asked about his recent  warm-up incident  with Mike Johnson and he turned on the ol’ Swedish charm. Eddie who?

  • I talked about this at length in this week’s Power Rankings, but the Canucks brought their dogs to practice last Friday. This was really cool because everyone loves dogs, especially me.
  • Here is a cute story about a young Michael Buble and Jim Robson:
  • Henrik Sedin is the latest Canuck to be filmed in a car. Henrik likes horses and podcasts. He includes Chris Tanev in his discussion of his toughest teammates, which is sweet and kind of cool considering Tanev’s 4 PIMs so far this season. He also gives some love to Todd Bertuzzi’s hands and Alex Edler’s ability to dress himself. And even when Henrik is filming a feature with Canucks TV, he and Daniel arrive at the rink at exactly the same time. Wild.
  • For Valentine’s Day, the NHL asked its stars to choose the teammate who would make the worst date. Daniel Sedin chooses Jannik Hansen and barely provides a reason. This seems like at least the 100th time that one of his teammate has chosen to call Jannik Hansen out in a video. He seems like a pretty sketchy dude at this point.
  • The Canucks shared their most embarrassing moments in this  most recent One More Question video. They posted the video on Wednesday, the perfect time to receive replies from fans  insisting that their most embarrassing moments were actually their most recent games. Chris Tanev’s story about his backwards jersey sparking a comeback is pretty inspiring but thinking about Luca Sbisa falling down a flight of stairs just makes me sad. Daniel Sedin’s most embarrassing moment is also a little bit tragic.
