Vancouver Canucks Reassign Mackenze Stewart to Kalamazoo
By Cory Hergott
6 years agoAccording to the AHL transactions page, the Vancouver Canucks have reassigned MacKenze Stewart to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL. The 6’4″, 215lbs defenseman has been with the Comets since being recalled on November 20th. Stewart got into two games with the Comets while on his recall, going pointless, but picking up five minutes in penalties.
The Comets have Philip Holm back from injury and may get Ashton Sautner back soon as well. It sounds like Canucks defenseman Erik Gudbranson could be back in the Vancouver lineup soon, which would allow Sautner to head back to Utica. Meanwhile, the Comets also still have Anton Cederholm on the roster, as well as PTO defensemen Dylan Blujus and Cliff Watson to call upon.
The Comets are back in action on Wednesday when the Toronto Marlies come to town. Puck drop is at 4:00 pm Pacific. CanucksArmy will have your post-game report following the game.
