The NHL held a board of governors conference call Monday afternoon that featured an infectious disease expert who helped to answer questions from the board as they continue to work through a potential return to play.
TSN’s Pierre LeBrun said other matters on the call covered the positive COVID-19 tests of two members of the Ottawa Senators and a league business update.
What there aren’t answers for, however, are if/when the league will resume. LeBrun reported that the league is continuing work on examining options for different scenarios, but the uncertainty of what’s to come.
Last week, it appeared that NHL front offices had favored forth a 24-team playoff scenario  while players brought forth a proposition of playoffs in the middle of summer.
Nonetheless, it appears we are no closer to any answers as to when we’ll be seeing any kind of hockey back.
