The New York Rangers are apparently looking to reunite with J.T. Miller.
According to Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli, the Rangers are apparently “all over” Miller and are interested in trading for the Vancouver Canucks forward.
Miller has been one of the most consistent Canucks this season, and currently leads the team in points with 38.
He’s scoring at a point-per-game pace, can play in all situations, and is on one of the best contracts in the league for one more season after this one, so it’s no wonder a team like the Rangers are interested in acquiring his services.
Additionally, Tyler Motte’s name is being thrown around a lot among NHL teams, according to Elliotte Friedman, who made a recent appearance on Donnie and Dhali – The Team.
Motte has come alive recently, as he — along with Juho Lammikko and Matthew Highmore — has formed one of the Canucks’ most consistent lines on this current road trip.
Couple his recent play with the performances he turned in during the 2020 playoff bubble in Edmonton and it becomes clear why teams would be interested in acquiring the high-energy forward at this year’s trade deadline.
The Canucks have reportedly told teams that they want to get through their current road trip before making any moves, and are still completing the process of naming a new general manager.
