It’s safe to say Bruce Boudreau has quickly become a fan favourite in Vancouver.
His calm yet bubbly personality shines through in press conferences, but most of all, the results he’s helped the Canucks find on the ice have fuelled his popularity.
Since Boudreau took over behind the bench after the organization cleaned house at the start of December, the Canucks have gone 6-0, and have a completely different mood around them.
Quite frankly, they look like a different team than the one fans watched through the early stages of the season.
But before Boudreau was hired by the Canucks, he had a bit of a side hustle going.
Boudreau was available for bookings on the popular website Cameo.
For those that don’t know, Cameo is an app that allows fans to pay celebrities to send them personalized video messages. These are then typically given as gifts to friends and family. From former athletes to former Sopranos actors, there are plenty of personalities who’ve made themselves available to fans on Cameo, and you can add Boudreau’s name to the list.
The best part is, he hasn’t stopped making Cameos since he became the Canucks’ head coach.
In fact, a Canucks fan asked Boudreau to make a holiday-themed Cameo intended specifically for Canucks fans. Here’s what Boudreau had to say:
“Hey all you Canucks fans, this is Bruce Boudreau here. Let’s kick some ass in 2022 — we’re just starting to get going. 6-0 might be okay but 10-0 is better and the more we win, the quicker we jump up in the standings, and that’s what we want to do. So you guys have a great Christmas out there and we’ll see you down the road.”
Here’s the video of Boudreau’s message:
It’s safe to say Canucks fans can’t wait to see what their team can do once they return from Christmas break on Wednesday, December 29th with a road game against the Ducks in Anaheim.
From all of us at CanucksArmy, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays Canucks fans!
